I published a book!

Hey, guys and gals, I’m extremely pleased to let you all know that I’ve released a book! It’s called A Chance of Rain, and it’s a collection of my short stories — particularly the darker ones!

If you’ve followed my writing for a while, you might know several of these stories, but I’ve included all of the sci-fi/horror that I’ve written, regardless of the platform it was initially published on — so, there’s something new for everyone here. Additionally, I’ve added one extra short story that’s entirely brand new, just to sweeten the deal. 😉

You can find A Chance of Rain on Amazon, available as a paperback (£6.99) and for the Kindle (£1.99). If you fancy buying a copy and leaving me a review on Amazon and Goodreads, it would mean the world to me.

If you are worried that this means there will be no “proper” novel coming from me, rest assured, I’m still working hard on that WIP. 🙂

‘In Circles’: My 50th Reedsy story!

Here we are! All caught up — on the Reedsy stories, at least! Whew! Took me long enough, didn’t it? Thanks for sticking around. 🙂

This next one was written for the fairly recent contest, Two Hundred. This one was special because not only did it mark Reedsy’s 200th writing prompt, but it was also my 50th story with them, since they started publishing stories on their site! (I had a few stories with them before the site, but I still feel that this is a rather momentous occasion!)

I chose the prompt, “Write a story that involves a mystery — it doesn’t need to be crime-related, it should just include something that remains unexplained until the end.” Such a great prompt, as it can be taken in so many different directions! The title of my short story is In Circles, and — you know how this goes by now! — you can read it here on WordPress, or over on my Reedsy profile.

I just woke up in this place, and I don’t know how I got here. I’m not alone, but I don’t know any of the people that are with me.

‘A Little Bit Off’: My sci-fi comedy was shortlisted!

Hey everyone! How we all doing? Good? Grand! I’ve been shortlisted for the Reedsy contest again! Always lovely. This was for the contest Superpower! I chose the prompt, “Write about a person who collects superhero comics.” The comedic, alien sci-fi slant came very quickly — and the mental image I found to be quite endearing! The title of my story is A Little Bit Off, and you can read it here on WordPress or over on my Reedsy profile.
